Hi, I’m Abe.Welcome to Micabecarabi Studio, my small creative studio based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Micabecarabi Studio is the creative home of Jolie Nuage & Friends™ and The Promised Pause™—two collections inspired by my love of nature, quiet moments, imagination, and creating simple things that bring a little more joy to everyday life.I’ve always believed that even the simplest moments can leave the greatest impact. A peaceful walk through the trees, a warm cup of coffee, time spent with family, a quiet evening by the campfire, or simply looking up at the sky can remind us to slow down, appreciate the present, and find joy in the ordinary.Creating has always been part of who I am. Long before the pandemic, I enjoyed making handcrafted gifts and meaningful creations.There was a season in my life when each day asked more of me than I thought I could give. During that time, I found myself returning to creativity—not because I was trying to make something perfect, but because I needed something that brought peace, calmness, and a sense of normalcy. One small craft at a time, I discovered that creating could quiet a busy mind and remind me that even the hardest days still held moments of beauty.That experience deepened my love for creating and became one of the reasons I continue to grow Micabecarabi Studio today. The Story Behind Jolie Nuage & Friends™I’ve always loved the French language. When my children were young, I enrolled them in French Immersion because I wanted them to experience its beauty. Over time, I grew to appreciate the language myself—its gentle sound, elegance, and warmth.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I found comfort in creating. That’s when Jolie Nuage, a little cloud with her signature pink beret, came to life. She was the beginning of a gentle world inspired by the sky, where imagination could bring comfort, kindness, and joy.As my creativity grew, so did her world, with more sky-inspired friends joining her along the way. Each character has a unique personality and a name inspired by my love of the French language, thoughtfully reimagined into something original. Their individual stories are part of the journey, waiting to be discovered.Today, Jolie Nuage & Friends™ continues to grow through thoughtfully crafted gifts, stationery, and stories designed to brighten everyday moments. My hope is that these gentle companions remind you to smile, embrace your imagination, and find joy in life’s little moments.Thank you for being part of their journey. JOLIE NUAGE
Jolie Nuage is a gentle cloud formed above Winnipeg, Canada. She comes from a large cloud family, but she is easy to recognize because she loves wearing her little beret, something other clouds rarely do.Jolie Nuage is a dependable and thoughtful friend. She always tries her best to help others, and she listens carefully when her friends need her. When something is beyond her ability, she is honest and kind enough to say so.She loves sky diving through the clouds and enjoys stage play, where she can imagine herself as many different things — a dog, a dinosaur, a tree, a balloon, or even a turtle. Her imagination is always drifting and dancing like the clouds themselves.Jolie Nuage believes the sky is full of possibilities, especially when friends share their dreams and adventures together.
Jolie Nuage says:

LEURDUZ
Leurduz is the gentle moon friend of Jolie Nuage. While the sun brightens the sky during the day, Leurduz quietly appears at night, bringing calm and peaceful light.The name Leurduz comes from playful word inspiration. It softly echoes the name Lourdes and also draws from the French expression “lueur douce,” meaning gentle glow. Just like the moon, Leurduz shines with a quiet and comforting light in the night sky.Thoughtful and observant, Leurduz often notices things others miss. When the sky grows quiet and the stars begin to sparkle, Leurduz watches over the clouds and friends below.Leurduz is a loyal companion who brings calm whenever the night falls.Leurduz says:🌙 “Even in the quiet of the night, there is always light.”
CELUMI
Celumi is the bright and cheerful sun friend of Jolie Nuage. When the morning sky begins to glow, Celumi rises to fill the clouds and the world below with warmth and light.The name Celumi comes from the French words “cercle lumineux,” meaning bright circle. The name was formed from the first two letters of cercle and the first four letters of lumineux, creating the name Celumi.The name Celumi also carries a gentle sound similar to the familiar name Salome, giving it a warm and friendly feeling — just like the comforting sunshine Celumi brings to the sky.Energetic and joyful, Celumi loves spreading sunshine across the clouds. With Celumi’s warmth, flowers open, gardens wake up, and rainbows appear after the rain.Celumi enjoys helping the sky feel bright and welcoming for everyone. Even when clouds drift across the sky, Celumi patiently shines and brings warmth to the day.Celumi says:☀️ “A little sunshine can brighten everything.
GELO
Gelo is the delicate snowflake friend of Jolie Nuage. When the sky grows quiet and the air turns very cold, Gelo begins to form high among the clouds.The name Gelo was inspired by the French word “gel,” meaning frost. Just like the word suggests, Gelo is born when tiny droplets in the clouds freeze into sparkling ice crystals.Gentle and peaceful, Gelo loves drifting slowly through the winter sky. As Gelo floats down, the world becomes soft and peaceful, covering trees, rooftops, and fields with a blanket of snow.Although quiet, Gelo has a kind and thoughtful heart. Gelo enjoys bringing a calm beauty to the sky and loves seeing children smile when the first snow of winter begins to fall.Like every snowflake, Gelo is wonderfully unique.Gelo says:❄️ “Every snowflake is wonderfully unique.”
LALAH, PLOOH, & UIE
Lalah, Plooh, and Uie are the cheerful raindrop triplets and joyful friends of Jolie Nuage. Whenever the clouds grow full and the sky is ready to sprinkle rain, these three appear together.The playful triplets love to fall from the sky side by side, twirling, bouncing, and splashing all the way down to the earth. Wherever they land, tiny puddles and laughter soon follow.Each of the raindrop triplets has their own personality:💧 Lalah is lively and full of energy. She loves bouncing on leaves and making the biggest splash in puddles.💧 Plooh is calm and gentle. He enjoys soaking quietly into the soil where plant roots happily drink the rain.💧 Uie is curious and playful. She loves sliding down flower petals and watching gardens wake up after the rain.Their names were inspired by the French words “la pluie,” meaning rain. Just like the sound of raindrops falling, their names echo the soft rhythm of rain touching the earth.Together, the triplets help flowers bloom, seeds sprout, and gardens flourish. After their joyful fall from the clouds, they disappear into the ground where plants, trees, and tiny sprouts grow stronger.If you ever see flowers smiling after a gentle rain, it might just be the work of Lalah, Plooh, and Uie.Lalah, Plooh & Uie say:💧 “Rain brings joy wherever it falls.”
ARCIE
Arcie is the colorful rainbow friend of Jolie Nuage. After the rain has passed and the sky begins to clear, Arcie stretches gently across the sky, bringing a quiet moment of wonder and color.The name Arcie comes from the French phrase “arc-en-ciel,” which means rainbow. Like its name, Arcie is a beautiful arc of colors formed when sunlight meets tiny droplets of rain, turning something simple into something breathtaking.Bright and uplifting, Arcie reminds everyone that even after heavy clouds and rain, something beautiful can appear. Arcie doesn’t rush or stay forever, but always arrives at just the right moment.A gentle presence in the sky, Arcie connects light and rain, reminding friends that both are needed to create something meaningful.Arcie is a joyful companion who brings color after the storm.Arcie says:
🌈 “After every storm, something beautiful quietly appears.”
EATOU AND TALLIE
Eatou and Tallie are the playful twin star friends of Jolie Nuage. When the sky becomes dark and quiet, these two little stars begin to sparkle and twinkle high above the clouds.The names Eatou and Tallie were inspired by the French word “étoile,” meaning star. Their names echo the soft sound of the word, just like the gentle twinkle of stars in the night sky.Although they are twins, their personalities shine in their own special ways.⭐ Eatou is bright and energetic. He loves twinkling quickly and lighting up the sky with cheerful sparkles.⭐ Tallie is calm and graceful. She shines softly and enjoys watching the peaceful night sky from above the clouds.Together, the twins fill the sky with tiny lights that guide the night and keep the sky company while Leurduz watches over the moonlit sky.When the night is clear and you see stars twinkling above, it might just be Eatou and Tallie playing in the sky.Eatou & Tallie say:⭐ “Even the smallest star can shine brightly.
ETINCELLEOU
Etincellou is the bright lightning friend of Jolie Nuage. When the clouds grow heavy and the sky begins to rumble, Etincellou flashes across the sky in a sudden burst of light, powerful and impossible to ignore.The name Etincellou comes from the French word “étincelle,” meaning spark. Just like a spark, Etincellou appears in an instant—quick, brilliant, and full of energy—lighting up even the darkest storms.Bold and full of life, Etincellou reminds everyone that strength can be sudden, and not all intensity is meant to harm. Though brief, each flash carries energy that helps balance the sky, releasing what has built up over time.Etincellou may seem fierce at first, but is deeply connected to the rhythm of the sky, arriving only when needed.Etincellou is a spirited companion who brings light, energy, and release during the storm.Etincellou says:
